Hello! I am a senior in college studying to be a special education teacher. I was supposed to student teach from February-May, but due to a lot of family issues I was unable to qualify to student teach and instead I am doing an internship in the school system. In order to fund my education, I've received a forgivable loan (FELS) from the NCSEAA. The program rules state that you need to graduate with a bachelors in an approved education program (special ed is an approved program) and then secure a qualified position with a license. When I graduate, I plan to take all of the licensure exams that I need to get my license (had I student taught, those are the exams I would've needed to pass). I am then going to apply for my lateral entry license.

I'm extremely confused about a couple of things.
