DUI

I was recently arrested for DUI. This is my first year in public schools. I am ashamed and so upset with myself for making a poor choice. I don't go out to bars but was invited out over the holidays. I made the mistake of skipping dinner and had been up since very early that morning. I had a 3 drinks over 6 hours time. I was pulled over and arrested because the officer smelled alcohol. I don't know what my BAC is yet. I am meeting with a DUI attorney tomorrow and will take the DUI class before court date. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this and what are the chances it will affect my job now and career in the future? Any advice is appreciated.
