I have been teaching for 25 years and was just offered a position to teach 1st in a new school district. Currently, I teach 4 year olds, federally funded program, and have been doing so for 13 years. Previously, I taught first grade for 7 years, and am scared to death to make a change this late in my life. A lot of questions are running through my mind: Can I teach first again? Will I be a "great" first grade teacher? Will my children learn? What will my day consist of?

The most important reason for making this change in my life is the salary. I will be making $14,000 more! I just need to know if anyone else has had to make this type of decision.
