Some districts have already waived the 1 year rule. Therefore, it will really depend on your district. You need to ask your district HR. It is their decision if they hold on to your requirement of passing the test first because the bill is effective july 1 OR waive the first yr condition. This new law has been passed and is in effect, however, the DOE is not allowing this rule until the effective date of July 1. It may vary by district at this time until it's fully in effect. If you call the DOE they will verify this Information. Hope this helps!
