Hopefully someone here can help me or point me in the right direction. I am trying to retire. The last place I taught was in TX, but for some reason TX is only giving me five years of my teaching experience. We moved to NC in 2020 right before the pandemic hit and I wasn't able to work. I have been teaching for 27 years. I have taught many places because I traveled with my husband who was in the USMC. Upon changing duty stations I always taught wherever we were stationed. Usually we were at a place for no more than 3-4 years. How can I get all of my teaching experience to count in one place or will I have to buy those years from each place where I taught? This is crazy and seems quite expensive. Is there no reprieve for military spouses in this type of situation? Anyone with any similar circumstance that can offer me any advice I would greatly appreciate it.
