Every teacher has experience teaching students who goes to class everyday, take detailed notes, ask questions, use tutoring, and so on only to still fail exams. Most teachers would agree that even the hardest work isn't enough to get As. When you bring up IQ, most teachers would laugh at you and say it's pseudoscience. So if that's the case, what explains the difference in academic performance between students if it isn't IQ?

It's kinda frustrating that we invest billions and billions of dollars into education each year, but no one has a clue about what explains differences in academic performance. There is so much gaslighting and prancing around when it comes to this. Teachers claim they are progressive and support equity and equality while also saying the purpose of education is find the elites and keep everyone else poor while also not helping those who are struggling.
