I am trying to decide whether to buy 6+1 Traits of Writing
for the Primary Grades or 6+1 Traits of Writing for Grades
3 and up. Can someone please guide me? Is the difference
simply that one is a newer version of the other? I would
like to use it with a child who is in Grade 3.

And depending on the book you recommend, can it also be
used for a child in Grade 7?

Thank you all for the guidance. Shall certainly order a copy
of BWS.

They are different books. I own Primary (K-2) and love it! I
looked at the Grades 3 and Up one today and the bookstore (I
am moving to 3rd garde next year) and that looks great as
well! They have lessons, as well as books that are useful for
teaching each trait. I highly recommend it:)

I'm currently doing the Primary one as a book club with my k, 1, and 2 teachers. We
all love it. In the fall I did the intermediate book with my 3,4, and 5 teachers and we
loved that one. I was able to purchase the both books for my 3rd grade teachers and
they are using ideas from both. I would say it depends up...See More
