hahaMy understanding is that they can access everything in your EAS. Whether they actually do look through everything for all candidates that they interview is another story. Hang in there. It is still relatively early to resign yourself.
Super excited!!! I just received a tentative offer today stateside. But I have a question... I had 2 other interviews whom I know they called references on. One was 4 weeks ago and the other 3 weeks ago. This offer came 2 days after interview... Is there a chance for the others still or do you think the time has "gone by"?
hahaThere is always a chance but once an offer goes out you are (in theory) locked out of consideration for other positions. It might happen (apparently does for some people) that you end up with your choice of offers but I wouldn't wait too long or risk missing the offer in the hand.
Hi! So, I checked my account today and it was frozen. Is that a good sign? I saw people mention that they received an offer soon after their account was frozen. Is this true for everyone who experienced this happening?
Angela@beyondhopeful When you received info from usastaffingoffice, there should have been an HR contact. Is that the nonworking number? I have one person I have been dealing with in HR.
I'm headed to Germany soon. I know I have to take the driving test there, but is it worth it to get my international driver's license from AAA before I leave the US? Anyone have experience with getting an international license in Europe? Is it necessary? Thanks!
questionsallday@angela yeah that's what I'm using. It's the same place where the anti terrorist module was. @loveteaching it still asking me for DoD ID number. Where do I get that?
How often and with who do/did most of you check-in with. I've done all the paperwork I've been asked to complete; passports, LQA, and TOPS. It's been almost 2 weeks and I've heard nothing, should I reach out to someone? If so, who?
AngelaSame! I followed with my HR person who initially sent paperwork after offer. She has been very responsive, professional and great to work with. I have asked her many questions and she either finds the answer or refers me to someone who does.

LindaDodeaHopeful, thank you for your reply. Very helpful information. I'll try to look more into the retirement and health benefits. I thought I read somewhere that retirement benefits begin after 3 years. I'm also wondering whether my husband and kids would be considered my dependents and also be eligible for health benefits.
I was curious about the availability of switching from one school to a different 1 once you're hired. Specifically for stateside but overseas as well how long do you have to be in your position at the current school your hired for and/or is there a time frameThat you can switch?
