I found what I needed! There is a great link on DODEA's website to the USDA site which goes into detail as to what is needed to transport pets internationally.
Couple of Questions
I think we just Googled for our info. We had to get our pet re-chipped as he had the old kind and otherwise, we would have had to purchase a scanner so his older one could be scanned (scanner was more expensive than just re-chipping).

@Angela, they are more thorough background checks than used by most employers. This is the federal government. I believe some positions had an even higher burden for a short window and during that time they took even longer. I think they are back to what is reasonable for people without access to confidential information.

If I recall the only pages I could not electronically sign and had to print for actual signatures were the 3 beneficiary documents. And two witnesses had to sign also. No, they do not help with housing. However, the price of housing may be lower. We sold our house at a loss, basically lost our equity. There's a form that I just had to fill out that's sole purpose was to see if the candidate has any offenses that dealt with drugs or alcohol, so I'm guessing it's probably a big deal

Stateside you can get on the waitlist at the CDC on base, however DOD and Gov contractors have the lowest priority, especially if only one of the parents is working. Overseas bases will all have a CDC and it does not seem that people have any difficulty get their children in (in most cases). There will also generally be private care, local/military spouses offering care etc. (depending on your location).
