Haha has explained the situation well. This year only people who needed to be placed in a new position (old one no longer existed) were placed. They did not necessarily go where they wanted to go. You sign that you understand this can happen.

We arrived in Yokosuka in Nov 2017 and were offered housing on base, however we desired to live off base, which is costly upfront. I believe that it depends on the availability at the time. We have teachers at our school who live on base. Where will you be teaching?

You ned to make sure each page is complete. Upload transcripts and educator certificate/license. Make sure each box on your application is green. This includes adding 3 references from supervisors.

My application finally says "qualified"! Does that mean I'm on their referral list for positions? RS viewed my profile. Does anyone know who RS is at Headquarters?

RS is the initials of the person that reviewed your documentation and updated to qualified. This does not really have anything to do with referral lists. It just means that if you do make a referral list, the principal will see that you have met the qualifications and may be more likely to interview you than someone not yet qualified.

I have too, but I have submitted my sub application. I'm currently a contract employee and my contrat is up at the end of September, I'm likely not going to renegotitate . I plan to take sub jobs and truly enjoy our last year here.
