If anyone has lived in Yokosuka, Japan, how difficult is it, as a civilian teacher, to obtain on base housing?

Shenna We arrived in Yokosuka in Nov 2017 and were offered housing on base, however we desired to live off base, which is costly upfront. I believe that it depends on the availability at the time. We have teachers at our school who live on base. Where will you be teaching?
