I received request for an interview, way early in the process, but no notification from EAS. Well it looks like I was not selected since it has been two months. I have since then revived 10 referral notices but no request for interviews??? I think I jinked myself, lol anyone else experiences this?
SanDiegoTeacherI am new to this process. When I look online my application states that I am still in pending for my qualifications, but when I called they said my file was active. I am also confused about being on a referral list, how does that happen, and should I worry that it still states pending even though the lady on the phone said I was active.
Would it be helpful for us to go get passports started this coming week... Just in case we do get the call? Would that be helpful or does dod get that done after you're hired? (We're planning on traveling out of the country in the future anyway...so it's not a wasted effort if we don't get the job.)
IdaYou will need to get official passports once you are hired. But you will also want blue passports so it wouldn't but to get them because it would be one less thing to deal with during the rush to get onboard on time.
I know it could take until October for me to be officially hired. However, what's the fastest you've seen them process a new hire? I received my tenative offer last Wednesday and accepted on Thursday. I've completed all the paperwork I can until my HR rep hears back from the federal investigation peeps about my investigation. Thoughts?
I don't believe they will count CS for the general science but like I said, submit it all, ASAP, and let them sort it out. They will generally not notify you by email. The HR person that evaluates your EAS will generally leave a note in your Quals section with their name or initials. You can also call/write and ask someone to pull up your file and tell you what you need to know (but you may need to be persistent).
I received notification today that I made a referral list and am very excited, however I have a beach trip planned for next Thursday through Sunday and there is very little to no cell service there. What should I do? Do they notify you during a school work day or do they notify you at any time, weekends included?
Do all 5013s have to be submitted in EAS for you application to be considered complete? I just submitted my application and my quals are still pending. Thank you!
They probably will not count the university researc...See MoreThey "should" count all experience where you were teaching in a K-12 setting. So, definitely the AZ and probably the int'l school. They had no problem counting my int'l school teaching experience but would not count my years as a admin/teacher (my fault for submitting it with that title).
They probably will not count the university researcher. They will likely count the coaching experience if it is full time in a K-12 setting and the position is/was considered a teacher level position.
I'm a South Carolina public school teacher with 21.5 years of experience teaching grades 4K (preschool) through 4th grade. I have a BS plus AT LEAST 24 (Probably more) graduate hours. Can anyone tell me what my pay would be if I accept a position stateside with the DODEA?
See the salary schedule posted by Jane and look for the one for teachers. See intersection of the row that says Step 5 and the column that says Bachelors +15 (or Bachelors +30) for annual full-time salary.
