I would not say it's a hot commodity but many/most/all? schools offer Career Practicum as a class so there is a need. I see your area is Business from the other post, so I would definitely see if you could add some other areas to that, as Business can often be combined with others subjects and you would generally need to be certified in both/all ar...See More

Mathlete... I'm qualified Preschool, Kindergarten, and Special Education. Most referrals that I have received is for Preschool Children with Disabilities, but the two most current is for Elementary Special Ed.

If you are talking about Early Childhood or Elementary, yes, they can be very particular about the methods of teaching classes. For example, they want separate methods classes for EC (pre-K, emerging literacy, etc.) and for ES (Reading, Math, ELA, etc.).

Ask your HR representative and your union rep. I have seen the actual policy in the past that says that for tour of duty credit purposes, a full school year equals 175 days in a pay status but don't know for sure that it hasn't changed or how applies specifically to your situation.

I never received a referral list notification & got an email with the subject "phone interview selection." I didn't open it for two day bc I thought it was spam. I'm glad I did bc I interviewed & got hired.
