ecd5It's pretty simple. Only accept an interview/job where you want to stay for a while. If you would like to work in multiple locations, you'll have to either go stateside a year or two, accept a hardship location if available, or get a promotion to another overseas location.
So, only accept an interview in a location where you could consider living for 10 years. If you accept the interview, then turn down the position, your application will be locked and no longer available for the remainder of the hiring year. So, now is a good time to look into the different locations.
Do we send this form to our past admin/principals or to the district/HR we worked for ? Does the employer have to send it back through a sealed envelope or can they sent it through email?
MyDOD@KMC I just tried to upload mine and it wouldn't let me either even though it was a .pdf. I was giving it the name "Employment Verification." It didn't give an error, just didn't add anything when you hit upload file. Then I tried by naming the document exactly the way it was listed in the drop down list and it then added it. Hope that helps.
What are my chances of getting hired in korea as a secondary math teacher with 2 years experience at a high school? Ive been in eas for 3 months and had no luck with referrals :(
I have been offered an interview at Sevilla ES/MS on MORON Air Base in Spain. Does anyone have any experience there? It looks like they only have a k-8 on base and I have daughters who will be moving into HS in the next year.
Can you accept an interview and still be available for other positions that might come up?
hahaHopefully you have some movement by now. Not much help with who else to contact. Presumably your HR person should have at least been able to give you contact information, but it is always dangerous to presume I guess.
KikiNothing still! The HR person said there was nothing they could do and I just need to wait. So I will continue to wait and hope that there isn't an error causing the delay.
As for the local area, it is Italy and it is Sicily, so certain things will generally go along with that (e.g. a little disorganized, a little run down in some cases, a certain amount of crime/break ins, etc.).
Most people seem to enjoy/have enjoyed their time there but I think it would drive certain types of people crazy. It's Europe and so the travel opportunities would be great, once you get off the island.
BlueSkyWorked on Sig in the early 2000s. Haha's description fits with my experience. Sicily's landscape is pretty. Definitely rural and rustic. The schools were good, and the base had a good bit to offer. Enjoyed my time there.
