Also, I am confused that references took days to send information. Hadn't that been done already? My future principal did e-mail to clarify because I did not list a current employer, but then I explained that I am not teaching this year.

I have lived in Arizona my entire life. One kid is a sophomore at MIT and the other got into gradschool at Regis College in Boston and is awaiting other school acceptance. Both :). First I check the first page of this chatboard to see if anyone commented or posted anything new. Next, I click on All Chatboards above. Then I see if i recognize any post topics or usernames to see if anyone might have commented on an old post. Sometimes I click on New Posts to make sure everything is updated.

A friend of mine who convinced me to apply with DODEA started in Iwakuni and then went to Okinawa. He loves it. He has a family of four, and his two kids had good experiences with the schools from what I know. I think he loved Iwakuni too, which is where I am going, but he just loved DODEA altogether... so who knows.

Starfish, new school in Iwakuni. There is Perry Elem right now. They are adding new schools, and I think my school is grades 3-5, or I am only working with those grades for math. Sorry SpedTeacher74. I had the name back in 2012 but then didn't get on here for some time. When I reactivated my account, I didn't realize someone else had the name. I changed mine as well. Now I will look for those avatars!
