I keep reading about LWOP in forums and such. If you need to go on leave without pay for any reason, even a short period of time for family emergency or sickness (since applicants will only have 10 days od leave at first), do you still receive housing allowance?
hahaMy understanding/experience is that you need to have at least one day of being in a pay status per pay period to maintain LQA. So, basically you need to use a sick day etc or work, at least one day per pay period to maintain LQA. You will often see people ask for contributions and/or a sick leave advance to avoid losing LQA while on LWOP.
Hey all- on the bottom of those referral emails it says
"You will be notified each time your name is referred. You will also be notified when a selection has been made."
Has anyone actual gotten an email if a selection was made ( and it wasnt you?)? Just curious if the position I was referred for actually got filled....
Maybe they will...See MoreWe've gotten a few notices that positions have closed over the years but probably less than 25% of the time. In theory HR is supposed to generate a notice to everyone on the list that did not get an offer but they wait until the person actually clears everything and gets orders (and for some reason it actually never comes).
I am an ex local hire applying from stateside and my application finally updated to DP-qualified. That is a huge confirmation for me but sounds so far off from what others are posting. What can I expect next?
WanderlustI worked at Ikego back in 2000. It had just opened and all brand new. It was a very nice school and you are very lucky to have been chosen to work there. It is in Zushi, just a short distance from Yokosuka the main base. Good luck and congratulations.
SpedTeacher74HR emailed and said those specialty areas are only identified AFTER you become a DoDEA employee... So we wouldn't know what they qualify us for until we've been hired..
