I should have (or be very close to) an autism endorsement. Where would it say I'm qualified for autism? The requirements are listed under "extra curricular activities" on the DoDEA Teaching Categories and Requirements page but no mention of it on the quals statement. It would be the same place a gen ed teacher would be listed as qualified for AP classes, I'm just not sure where to look.

happyteacher I feel like having that many courses in autism should carry over to EI or LIMS.... I'd try and get someone SPED specific in HR that understands these courses to help you.

SpedTeacher74 I have ten credit hours in ABA and six that say "developmental disabilities" in the title which should count toward autism. I just don't know if they recognize that. I emailed HR today and will let you know what they say. Thanks!!

SpedTeacher74 HR emailed and said those specialty areas are only identified AFTER you become a DoDEA employee... So we wouldn't know what they qualify us for until we've been hired..
