my DH is a kenyan citizen, with a US green card.
i'm wondering if that will cause problems during this process, or when we get there.

Generally speaking, there are many teachers who have non-US citizen spouses and are able to work overseas. Some of them had the spouse when they were hired and some were married afterwards.
