Temporary Quarters Subsistence Expense

I just received my orders for Germany. The box for Temporary Quarters Subsistence Expense is marked "NO". Is this correct? Is this the same thing as TSQA? What is the difference between TSQA and the per diem listed?

haha It is correct. I remember asking the same thing when we got our orders. I forget exactly how they are different but having a No for TQSE does not mean that you will not be eligible for TQSA.

haha 2. Make sure that your EAS application shows all green check marks on the application page so that you know it is finalized and active.

Per Diem for Dependents and...?

We FINALLY received our travel orders!!! So, I guess this is really happening! One question I had on the travel orders is that it says Per Diem is not authorized for my dependents, only $275 for me. Is this correct?

Per Diem generally refers to a stipend that the employee would get while on temporary duty (TDY) such as an authorized training (rare) or traveling as a coach (common). This is very different from TQSA which you sho...See More

HelpOthers Are you going from DoDDS to DDESS? If so, this would explain the per diem. If this is the case, maybe they are classifying your time from start of your current pay to your arrival date as TDY.

Passport Misawa and Cars

Any insight into Misawa? How long did it take for most to get their government and original passports back once fedex to HR? Last but not least is it difficult to find a car or is a car necessary in Misawa do they have great transportation?

I have so many questions!! My friend found this site! I had a heck of a time figuring out our HHG shipment online. Many phone calls and questions.... I got it. I need to book a flight, can I do that over the phone? What are some of your experiences with this?
