I didn't have to get a physical or have my doctor full out anything before moving to Korea last year...

Did you come from Ddess, or were you a new CONUS hire? If so, your failure to complete a physical was a screw up.

You don't need to cite evidence to get a 5, at least I didn't and still got a 5.

It depends on your admin and high rater. In our district, even with evidence it is incredibly difficult to get a 5.

I'm a single mom in Korea. On base housing is for military only. The LQA here is great and you will have your choice of beautiful homes that a realtor will show you off post. Timelines between interview and offer (if one is to be forthcoming) vary wildly, from hours, to months. A few days to two weeks seems fairly common, so not time to panic or give up hope yet.

DoD gave Japan the green light but it's up to each installation to release travel restrictions. As of today, no installation has released travel restrictions to begin PCS without the ETP or waiver. RAT was interpreted to be covered by Exemption K in the Transition to Conditions-based Phased Approach to Coronavirus Disease 2019 Personnel Movement and Travel Restrictions memorandum dated 22 May 2020. It was very specific and did not include travel for new hires (and many other types of PCS moves).

Well, RL85, that may be a new one! Maybe it was a mistake by the principal. Maybe they pulled referral lists for multiple positions and just sent you an interview request for the wrong position. So weird!

The rotators are all booked this summer, so we can't take the PE into Oki. More importantly, we can't PCS until the travel restrictions are lifted, so we are stuck waiting for that to happen. We are nervous this could be a long wait. Any idea if teachers can get an Exception to Policy letter to PCS?
