I would say that the position is for this year. I was just referred in November and going through the process now. For reference I was interviewed on 12/4, offered tentatively 12/17, and received my firm offer 1/17. I am still waiting for orders though. My tentative start date is 3/2. Good luck!

If you get to the interview stage, you have very high chances with VP. Principals have to provide written justification to HR for not selecting you, many choose not to go through this process. You may want to research Naples, it's not for everyone.

I registered, completed the course, and got a transcript in 4 weeks for $345 form the University of LaVerne .http://www.pdcourses.net/courses-pdc.php I completed two graduate level science courses with them to get my general science and physics certs.

It's true that it's not that uncommon these days for HR to take months to determine an applicant is qualified or unqualified (if they even get around to it). As posted, the good news is that it apparently won't stop you from being considered for positions.

@witeacher my qualifications were pending for a year and a half. I finally called someone and got them to take a look. They emailed someone for me and it was qualified within the week. They kept telling me that I would still receive referrals but I did not receive one during that time frame. Could have been my combo of certs who knows?

I didn't get an indication, rather, somewhere on that reference page, it notes that you must have one from your current admin. I entered my current admin but didn't select for it to send a form. From what Icanread has posted, it seems like I will need to do so.

I would venture to say that most principals and assistants are hired from within Dodea. Not all of them... but most. Dodea is a unique system and there's a lot to learn about how it works. So being a teacher first is a great way to get your foot in the door and start to learn the system.

I would agree, as far as principals go. With AP's it is definitely more of a mix in my limited experience (although I would love to be able to see some actual data on the subject).

The problem is actually the word "scripts" that you probably included in the description of the file or the file name. I changed it to "Trans-cripts" because "invalid" was bothering me!
