I know several permanent DoDDS teachers that just transferred/took positions in Bahrain (on purpose) and they are not people to do anything without being satisfied that it was a good situation for them and their kids (at least for a couple of years).

Thanks for all the information everyone. I'm still waiting to hear back from the principal about setting up the interview. I'll keep everyone posted if anything develops. Oh, it was for an ELA position.
