"Tentative"

What needs to happen before a tentative offer becomes an official offer? How long does the process take and what exactly are they looking for before they can make an official offer?

At what point would it be safe to quit my current position. Nothing's happened yet, except my EAS becoming inactive after an interview, but with it already July, I feel like I'm about to enter a whirlwind, which will simultaneously feel like a stand still.

HSSpedTeacher Congratulations! Can you share the locations? I teach LIMM in Yokosuka. It does take time for DODEA to get things to you. Be ready to move fast when you get the actual offer. Most things will come as email attachments. Check your spam often.

H Excellent! We will be heading that way. My husband was offered a LIMM job at Ikego. How long have you been in Yokosuka? Any advice about the area and what expect would be great. I do have a silly question: are there a lot of big bugs, spiders and cockroaches out there?

HSSpedTeacher H, I sent you a message on email. Did you get it? Do you have the offer yet? You should know that HR in the Pacific is very slow. Short staffed and slow. Check with the school by email and let them know you haven't received anything yet. Good luck!
