So, hoping someone will give me some insight. I was given a formal job offer on January 3rd. I accepted and turned in my acceptance of the position along with some other paperwork the next day. All other paperwork and fingerprinting was completed within the next week. Currently, I am waiting on background check and fingerprints to come back. Meanwhile, this new hiring freeze has been enacted...What I need to know is does this affect me? I was offered this position before all of this went down...but does this affect me? I haven't asked HR about it yet, but the more I read here and other places the more anxious I get. HR has not contacted me and told me otherwise...yet...Can anyone give me some information?
haha My principal told me that the hiring freeze does not affect any positions that were offered and accept prior to the freeze. It's not definitive because they can sometimes get things wrong (or are told wrong information from District) but that seems to be the case.

infiniti4 Thanks haha. I know you can't give me a 100% assurance of this, but it does make me feel a little bit better. Thank you so much for your response!
