Also, how long does the verification of quals take? I applied last week and it says "pending," though I'm guessing it takes a while to verify my qualifications. Thanks!

I'm also curious about how long it takes for verification of quals. I've been "pending" for nearly 2-months. But, then, with the FREEZE on, I guess it really doesn't matter at the moment.
the waiting all depends on qualifications, and even then you can never be sure. some teachers who can do all the SPED can go years without hearing anything, while others get hired right away. for example, i have middle and high school science (no AP, but all the sciences). The wait for a job offer can range from weeks to never. Many people are in the system for years and never even get an interview. The average for people who do get jobs is probably 2-3 years.
