Hello everyone, I am new to the board, but have been reading and trying to learn more about the process for getting a job through DODEA. I have been in the system for a couple of years, but have not actively pursued it until now. I am curious how the quals work in relation to job openings. Is each qual considered in the same way as an endorsement? Is each number a separate endorsement area, even though it is the same content at a different level? For example, I have the following quals that are listed as qualified and then some in pending mode.

101-103 Elementary 1-3 (Qualified)

104-106 Elementary 4-6 (Qualified)

107-108 Elementary 7-8 (Qualified)

109 Compensatory Reading Elementary (Pending)

210 MS ELA (Says I do not qualify, though I will have an upgraded license with this endorsement...but it looks like my credits don't meet DODEA)

220 MS Social Studies (I must submit my upgraded license with this endorsement, but am then Qualif...See More
haha Usually an opening for a position will have several codes associated with it. the code denotes the subject certification/level required by the principal for that position. happyteacher If you are certified for Reading Specialist, you should easily have the courses for Compensatory Reading - make sure all your transcripts are still attached to your file (since you say you applied a few years ago but weren't actively looking until now).
