I'm not familiar with that. The fact that you just submitted the reference a few weeks ago makes it seem more like an application thing then something for an actual opening (but anything is possible with DoDDS).

Before I was hired, they checked my listed references and then went beyond the listed ones and contacted other people I worked with. So my experience is they will go deeper if they are interested in you. This was for an initial hire with DDESS.
