Art positions come up but they are relatively rare. For example of the 80+ positions that were posted for current DoDDS teachers in the Pacific East district only one had Art as part of it and that was an Art/Home Economics position. Oh that's sad to hear! Do you know if you need a degree in family and consumer science/home economics or if there is potential to hire someone that shows interest in teaching and has a degree in the other area? While teaching art I have taught sewing and other related topics. Thank you for the information.. I really appreciate it!

Generally you would need to have all of the certifications listed on the job requirements. If they do not find anyone with all of the certs they wanted they may then widen their search to include people with one of the certs and relevant experience in the other.
