I am a certified elementary teacher with 23 years experience. I have VRA status. From what I have read, principals can not hire non-VRA applicants over me unless they find me unqualified for the position. I have not received any notifications and feel frustrated. Does VRA status really make a difference? Or is it too early in the hiring season to get worried?
