I had two requests from the same principal to interview for a SE position in Japan but I declined the interview. Was this the kiss of death for me? Perhaps I should not have answered her e-mail.
SpedTeacher74 I'm not sure...but I wouldn't think it could benefit you at all. I know if you refuse an offer you become ineligible for a year, but not sure if the same is true for not interviewing.

oregonslp You did the right thing, I think it's better to answer and politely decline than to ignore. Either way, the real kiss of death is turning down an offer after accepting an interview. haha Generally, turning down an interview should not affect your eligibility for other positions (as opposed to turning down an offer). Maybe the universe is punishing you for turning down a chance that thousands of other people would kill for (J/K, mostly).
