How hard is it for a non-educator to get subbing jobs? My husband is an engineer and plans to go to grad school while we are overseas but we thought he could sub high school Math and science as needed.
Scholar One needs a bachelors to sub. It doesn't be in education. It is a simple process and subs are always needed. I had clear communication with the school secretary about when I was able to sub and when I wasn't.

Scholar sorry for the bad writing- I wrote faster than the computer caught. It doesn't need to be in education. :) It's the best subbing job because you are working with wonderful DODEA teachers and kids.

HSSpedTeacher Subs are in short supply at most overseas locations. He should be able to work everyday if he subs in more than just a couple of subjects.

dantel I'm the husband of a DODEA teacher in Korea. Once you arrive to your location, your husband can fill out a sub packet. There are two background checks conducted, the federal check takes a while so its typically 2 to 4 months before we start getting calls to sub. Once you are approved, there is no shortage of work.
