Does there seem to be as high a demand for math teachers within DoDEA as there is in public schools within the US?

Also, do the overseas schools tend to hire hard to fill positions first before moving on to the more basic regular ed positions? I'm trying to get a feel for where schools might be in the hiring process.

Hubs is secondary math

I am elementary (K-8) and secondary English.

Hopeful And you just got an offer, right Sand_Art? I don't remember what it was for, though.

SandArt Yes, I got an offer. For what, that's where I am a little confused. The e-mail for the interview was for math specialist. For example, a secondary school in Japan was looking for a combined ELA/Math teacher and there were only ...See More

SandArt Euxpat, I believe I will be at one of them. I assume the tentative offer had the old school because the name is not finalized for the new one. I still sent papers back signed because I would have taken any position for any school in Japan. Glad I got math and not 1st or 2nd grade! Those teachers deserve medals. Not sure I could do it.
