You can ship earlier if they have packing dates available that early. The longer you can live without your stuff on this end...the sooner you get it on that end...generally.

The typical time frame to ship is 21-45 days out, but we scheduled our stuff 30-60 days out if we could...(the last time we moved was in 2007..so things might well have changed since then.)

Wow! I had no idea that they come pack your things. What if you live in an isolated village on an island in Southeast Alaska where they have to fly or take the ferry in? Do they have limits for where they go to pack your things and/or cost involved in doing so? Just curious as our scenario is different than many.

I just asked someone and it looks like they do come to our location as the U.S. forestry department on the island also packs out their civilian employees for moves.
