Looking for some help. I have not been certified by DoDEA to teach elementary education, even though I have been teaching in the elementary schools for 10 years now. They have certified me to teach Gifted and Talented though because I have an endorsement in G/T. The reason they gave is that my transcripts do not show a 3 credit course in reading/writing methods and a 3 credit course in Science Methods. I have checked out our local teaching colleges and the only time that these courses are offered is during the school year, during the school day which will make it impossible for me to take. Are there any online colleges that I could take these courses from that are certified and that DoDEA will accept? I don't want to spend a lot of money taking some courses and then find out that they won't even accept them. Thanks for the help. Linda
SandArt Rio Salado college has lots of classes which are all online except for classes like calculus because I think you have to take the tests in a facility. I was short one class for my ESL endorsement for my undergrad and took the course through RIO. It was short and easy. They offer a variety.
