The vacancy has been cancelled, sorry for the confusion.

Hard to say exactly. It might mean that the position was filled. It might be that the referral was generated in error or that they decided to change the certifications/areas required for the position and so cancelled the original referral list. Hopefully it's not the last list you make it on to.

Sometimes, they think they will need to fill a vacancy, but then numbers change, and the potential position is cancelled. On the other hand, things could change back, depending on enrollment in the fall.
