Hi,

My husband just received his email with his tentative offer paperwork. We have been applying to Dodea for 4 years and so are a little taken aback that it has finally come.

As a lurker on the board for years, I thought it was time to tap into the resources because we will need help understanding everything. Thanks in advance!

One question we do have that probably is too early to think about, but I am a teacher/counselor too. Will there be work available for me? HelpOthers I suggest immediately updating your EAS to the locations within commuting distance of your husband's new position. If you are hired within a certain timeline of him arriving in his new position, you are considered a CONUS hire. If not, you may still get something as a local hire. They have to consider local hires before interviewing others.
