I got two emails today outlining benefits and allowances and saying that selections have to be made within 60 days of this appointment and I am a bit overwhelmed. It also does not look like I can create the necessary EBIS account yet as I do not have official orders just yet (finishing turning in final paperwork from firm offer, then these should be processed). Should I wait until I have these to worry about setting up all of this or is there something I am missing?
Snow Lane I thought I read somewhere it's 60 days forward from your start date, but I could be wrong.

My question though is do you get insurance as soon as you get there? How are we supposed to deal with regular prescriptions?

Teach Your date of appointment should be the first day you report to work.

haha Agreed that appointment date would generally be your actual start date although on many forms your start date is the date you arrive at your new posting, not necessarily the first day of work (not sure which applies here).
