Thank you to everyone who contributes to this site. I really appreciate the info. I'm new to the process and it definitely helps to hear what everyone has going on. Can someone explain how you get on a referral list? When I talked to HR last week they said they have 4,000 applicants to review. YIKES!

My certs are PK through 6.

Any info is GREATLY appreciated.

SandArt Agree with Mary-Lorraine. Plus, it could be luck. I am certified for elementary, reading specialist, math endorsement, qualified to teach math and reading in junior high, gifted and talented, ESL. I was hired after my first interview and during my 1st year applying. Luck has to play a part here, but certification in many areas sure helps!

allavita SandArt, what position will you be teaching? If I do not get an offer this year, I may take a few classes in order to have my MS Math.

angel Yes Janie! Look at your transcript 500 times if you need to. Last year I only applied for Middle Math and Educational Technologist. I didn't receive any referrals, which could be because I applied in April. Over the summer I looked at my transcripts MULTIPLE times, going back and forth on whether I should add other categories. Categories that I hav...See More
