Need some input from those who know. Heading to Osan...plan to rent furnished...keeping house in states so really don't want to ship furniture. So, how does it work with baggage? Have a few teacher items, books, etc... and of course clothing...so not sure how this works. Number of suitcases allowed, etc... Anyone feel we are making a mistake not taking household items? Comfy, spoiled American looking for suggestions.

Does anyone know if on base housing would be available to us on Osan?
haha Can't comment specifically on the situation at Osan. We have lived in furnished apartments with non-DoDDS teaching assignments (China) and it was fine. Even then, we did ship over like 3 cubic meters of personal belongings and household items (basically everything but furniture) and it definitely helped to have your own possessions with you when se...See More

haha No problem. Well, a lot of people do come back that often. A lot of people also only come back on their RAT years. We are back this year for the first time in 3 years because we like to travel and see places other than the US but we are probably a minority.
