Yay on full price for my home, but orders would be nice now! I'd love to know when they're going to pack out my home... so happy with the full price offer, though.

Now the move to Japan feels more real!

Teach Thank you for the tips, Mary-Lorraine and SandArt! Fortunately, the house will likely still look lived in a bit, but it will be pretty obvious that we have moved. That is one reason we'd like to try to clean up/purge and start showing before we actually pack out.

SandArt Teach, Well, like Mary-Lorraine mentioned, you want the home to NOT be empty. My realtor said a home with furniture looks best, but also NOT cluttered with too many pictures. micorazonkilleen Congratulations! I live in a new subdivision that's still selling houses so selling my house isn't an option. :-(

I'll be renting or leasing w/option to purchase until all the houses are built/sold which hopefully will be done by the end of this year... That way I can just have someone assume my mortgage.

HelpOthers micorazonkilleen, if it is not against your neighborhood rules, you should try to sell it. Rent-to-own situations are rarely good for the seller. You place yourself in the position of a landlord, but have even less of an opportunity to evict the tenant, because they have an interest in the home. micorazonkilleen Mary-Lorraine, no HOA, which is why I chose this subdivision. Problem is there are a lot of empty new homes that are on the market currently in the subdivision. In order to market it so that I don't pay out of pocket I would have to price it close to the asking price of the new homes (mine is 3 years old).
