I hated to bother HR, but I e-mailed to inquire about a possible time frame for orders since my house is sold. I will have to move out July 28th.
Was told that my orders could be requested after I send in my firm offer paperwork. Uh, you mean the paperwork which I sent on June 8th?
I sent it AGAIN.... trying to be positive.
I know they have a tough job--a job I would not want to do. Not complaining about HR at all. They've been very helpful. These things just happen, I guess.
Funny thing is something like this happened when I first started teaching in my first district. Being patient and not inquiring almost cost me a job 15 years ago. And I am NOT even a patient person. I try to be because I want to be that person.
Just for your information, other, trying to be patient people.

Definitely vacation time. I should be in LA right now at Anime Expo. Oh well. Thought I would receive orders before June was over. There are still several hours left though so anything can happen. When I received my firm offer, it came in at 10pm.

I'm thankful that my calls are always answered as well as my emails (sometimes quickly, sometimes it takes a while).

I received my firm offer at 3:30 am!! via my work email which luckily I still check at home.. thank goodness I am one of the few that keep a CAC reader at home... LOL all other correspondence with HR had been via my personal email address.
I think we all need a vacation... maybe we will get a few days relief once we touch down overseas.

I will check my work e-mail again on Monday. My CAC reader does not seem to work or the e-mail system is not accessible from home lately, but I can go to work on Monday (if it is not a holiday- now that I think about it....) to check it. Maybe I can use the library on post.

Mary-Lorraine, It may very well be the CAC reader. They have been going bad lately for many. I had to swap them out for several of my end users near the end of the school year for whatever the reason. Also, OWA has been glitching off an on also but lately it has been working fairly well.
