Just accepted a DODEA job stateside and was wondering how long is it after you start ...(say August) before you get your first check? Also Do you get paid twice monthly or once monthly? Thanks in advance!

micorazonkilleen You're paid bi-weekly. If you're new to DoDEA, there can be up to a 6 week delay before you receive your first paycheck depending on when paperwork was processed. Since you are being hired over the summer, your paperwork is being processed early so there shouldn't be a lag or delay for you at all. You'll be paid on regular schedule.

haha You'll start on a 21 payday schedule for your first year and your first pay date varies a bit. Figure on a few week delay just to be safe.
