Working a stress related bald spot

Ok- so background check complete! I still have not received any additional paperwork (medical eval and whatever else comes with that packet). For those of you who got your travel orders, how long did it take to get them after you submitted all of your paperwork? My window of opportunity to get there before school starts looks like it is closing but I want to know whether or not I need to just emotionally prepare myself for this eventuality or if HR will pull off some sort of miracle for me.

Also - I've started some of the required "training" online preemptively. So far, only 2 will open up or let me complete them without some sort of log in. Did you get credentials to complete these? (found these sites on the on boarding page)

Ida A few years ago, my friend was hired on July 23rd, she made it to her duty station 2 days before school started for teachers on August 22ndish. So I am going to remain hopeful that we can make it to our location before school starts as long as we have orders by late July!

Scholar did you check the link others have posted for onboarding? You can go ahead and print off those forms and get to work

onthemove @ Scholar, Do you know which ones I would need specifically? I look at the PCS checklist and have done what training I can. And On the Before the First Day there are some on the Employment Forms tab. Are all of these needed?

Scholar I dont know why but there a different checklists for different applicants (they sent me the wrong one at first). Teach Don't do the trainings, as the school system gives us time to complete those (at least I was always given time in DDESS and Okinawa). Some of the info on that on-boarding page seems to pertain more to folks who work in HQ.
