Get started on the medical stuff. Don't wait for the e-Mail! Get your appointments/forms out of the way so when you get the firm offer, you can respond the same day, if possible.

You need to decide if you would start work in your school if you haven't left yet. I don't know if you are in a large district but if you are I would explain what's going on and see if they can float you around until you leave. I had to push hard to get the background check and passports started. Did you get them started yet?

My district flipped to an annual contract a few years ago, so that part won't matter. I just want to keep it as easy as possible for my principal because she's awesome and has been so supportive of me. I've already sent in my passport info and completed my background check as well. It's literally just me waiting.
