I have heard/read (don't have the regulation) that you can only use the vet preference once when applying for federal positions. I don't know this for certain or the exact details but I would suppose that with DoDEA covering CONUS and OCONUS schools you can only claim it once.

Vet preference is only considered when hiring INTO an organization. If you are already in the organization, in this case DoDEA, Vet preference is no longer considered.
