Process after interview

Hello all! Today marks my 2nd week since I had my interview for Japan. I was told by the interviewer, the principal, to be very patient with the process. She said once she finished her interview, she will pass the info the HR... she told me to email or call HR if I havent heard anything by the end of this month. So this morning, I emailed HR and asked if the position for that elementary school has been filled and they replied and told me to email the interviewer instead. Since the principal told me to be patient, I didnt want to bother her for this yet. Am I doing this right? Should I wait til the end of the month before contacting the principal? I know it's only been two weeks since my interview, but what is the next step after the interview anyway? Can someone help? Thanks!!

haha I would follow up with the principal. You are not going to ruin anything at this point. You either got the position or you didn't.

KG Thanka everyone! I decided not to be shy and emailed the principal today. Im not sure if she's still in the states but Im hoping to hear from her soon.

Worldwide Educator I think some principals respect your diligence. I have been referred to 5 different schools since I applied in June. KG Thanks Shenna! I too have mostly been getting referrals but I never knew I can directly email the principals. I was just told to wait until someone decides to interview me. I have been waiting since 2015 but pcs kind of affected it. Goodluck to you as well. I did email the principal and hope to hear from her soon.
