How long does it take to get orders for a job in Asia?

I just found this chat room and wish I would have found it sooner. I have been completely in the dark for this whole process wondering when I can finally turn in my resignation for my current job. I am very worried, because school starts on Aug. 28th and I hoped to be in country by Aug. 2nd to get settled-in. Based on the below, can any of you give me a guess as to when I will receive orders and then how soon after receiving orders will be my departure date? Timeline thus far:

1. April 30th- received tentative offer

2. July 12th- received firm offer

3. Awaiting travel orders- I was told it could take 2 weeks to receive the travel orders.

It is almost Aug. 1st, and I don't know how I will have the time to complete shipping of my HHG etc. and make it in country prior to the teacher work days?

haha You may not not make it before school starts (and teachers report 8/21). Annoying and unsettling but ultimately not that big a deal in the scope of things. If you have a firm offer then that means you are locked and loaded and everything is a go. Feel free to resign, you are going to Asia.

Beloved @DodeaHopeful - what subject at Humphreys?? I interviewed for the math position in June but now I learned from calling HR, because I still have NOT been contacted that ther is no math only position showing but math with another subject. I'm waiting to hear back from Dr. Kpinkpin and Shelly Kennedy to get some clarification.

DodeaHopeful Beloved, unfortunately I can't give you closure. My referral was for science and math. They're moving into a new building right now, so it's hectic right now Also, I haven't even spoken to Dr. Kpinkpin yet. Ms. Kennedy interviewed me.
