So I went today thinking I would get everything done, but all I ended up doing was filling out an HHG/UB form and then I was told to come back tomorrow for a briefing meeting. What's in this meeting? How long does it take for someone to call about moving? I would assume I can't make ticket arrangements until I know my moving date? Blerg.

wanderwoman The 18 year old kid at the TMO just kept saying I had to come back tomorrow for a briefing. I went into DPS and all of my stuff had been entered for me by the time I got home. I guess I'll figure it all out tomorrow.

wanderwoman When do they actually confirm the date of the movers coming?

angel Based on how I did it... after everything was set up in the system with my preferred dates, I received a call from the actual companies approving the dates or setting alternate dates.

SandArt What Angel said. My papers requested July 25th as the day to pack out. The movers then said they'd come July 20th to be out by July 25th. They planned initially on 4 days, but they only needed 3.

HelpOthers I attended the briefing- took about two hours, may differ depending on the size of the group. They will review what you completed and bring up any obvious misunderstandings for you and help you better understand or fix things on the form. You should have dates for moving the same day if not before this briefing.
