Hello,

So I arrive in Japan on August 7th. I was told that someone would be picking me up, but no one has reached out to me to do that.

I am fine getting my own ride. I am not high maintenance and like to be self-sufficient.

However, I just realized. I have no idea where to go from the airport.

Where do we go from there?

Where do we check in?

Thank you so much for any suggestions.

superstock98 My school secretary is arranging for a 30-day unescorted pass as soon as I have my passport. She said that way I can get a pass right away with no issues.

HelpOthers Hopefully, their school has permitted the use of government vehicle and gas and toll expenses. You do not want to pay that. The tolls alone from Narita to Yokota were more than $50 (one way). This may be why the schools are encouraging people to take the shuttle.

HelpOthers I flew into Narita. The signs are in English too- the ones that say "Arrival" follow them, then you will see signs for "foreign passports" Follow those too. After you show your passport and your orders, you will go to "customs" and "baggage" which is just past where you showed your passport (down the escalator). Get a cart and load up your luggage,...See More

SandArt The secretary and the ET picked me up in school vehicles, so I did not offer gas money. Will definitely bring them lunch or something. I love IWAKUNI!!
