Multiple offers possible?

This may not be the right place to ask this but is it possible to get multiple offers? I interviewed for two different schools and have confirmation of reference requests from both places being sent out. One school has already started so I received their offer today after only interviewing Friday. The other school has two weeks left before they start and I interviewed a week ago. The school I haven't heard from is about 6 hours closer to where I am now. Just want to know if I should hold out hope or just go with the first offer? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

haha You are not supposed to be able to but it is theoretically possible due to timing, human error etc. If you are happy with the offer on the table, I probably wouldn't hold out hoping for another offer to come through.
